GAME OVERVIEW

Welcome to Monkey Business! Play as Froggalina as she rolls for bananas, on the run from a very hungry monkey. Scale ramps, carefully avoiding going too fast and falling off the ledge. Use the settings button to turn music on/off and the instructions button to learn more on how to operate the game. But most importantly: have fun and learn about how much effort some people have to put in to secure food.

PITCH

Froggalina is a dedicated forager, and she needs bananas for all her friends back home! However, trouble arises when Curious George wants those bananas, too. Ensure Froggalina can feed her friends by helping her collect these bananas. Have fun rolling and climbing to pick up bananas, all while evading George!

THEME

"Monkey Business!" is a game for the theme Outplaying Hunger, where Froggalina works hard to collect food. The game is meant to depict the hardship some people can go through to sustain themselves and while the game has a lighthearted nature, it has a hidden, deeper meaning. The player is supposed to enjoy the game, but should also think about those who are less fortunate.

MY WHY

"Monkey Business!" started as a joke idea, one that wasn't really planned to go very far. But I got oddly attached to Froggalina and her story. She's dedicated, hard-working, and compassionate. The entire reason she's running from George in the first place isn't even to feed herself, but those she holds dear. Her story, while portrayed in a simple and comedic manner, is meant to inspire others to look out not only for themselves, but also for their community. Even if it's as simple as offering a hungry person a banana!
